Smart headphones and other technologies that block the sound of snoring and annoying noises - the counter

The feeling of frustration is the same as those of those who hear from their bedroom the coming and going of airplanes and trains, the barking of dogs in the street or the screams of a neighbor little considered late at night of the night.

What to do before those annoying noises?

Putting caps might seem a solution, but many times it is not enough to block noise.

However, some entrepreneurs realized the problem and have developed a series of devices based on the so -called "noise cancellation technology".

Here are some of them.

1.Wireless headphones

"The dream never sounded so well," says the multimedia company Bose in the advertising slogan of his last great novelty, the Sleepbuds.

These are wireless headphones that cost US $ 175 and that put on sale through the Indiegogogo collective financing platform. The company will create more units in February next year.

They work in three stages: a silicone tip (such as conventional headphones), a series of microchips that create waves to reduce external noises and the emission of relaxing sounds to favor sleep.

Its battery lasts up to two nights, the manufacturers say.In addition, they include a system to reproduce the alarm of the alarm at the selected time through an application connected to the smartphone.

But Bose did not invent the product.

Actually, the American company bought Hush Technology, which was created by three students from the University of San Diego, in California, and with which the Hush developed, another model of smart headphones, in 2014.

"Bose, a larger company, contacted us because they had a similar product in mind, and we joined," reads its website.

"We loved what they did and we had a very similar vision, so we decided to work together," said Brian Mulcahey, director of the Emerging Business Unit at Bose.

2.Tape headphones

If traditional headphones are uncomfortable, you can try tape headphones.

The product is called Sleepphones and was designed by a family doctor, Wei-Shin Lai, who decided to invent a solution to her husband's snoring.

They consist of a head lining band that has integrated ultrafine headphones.

Its minimum price is about US $ 40 and they are sold online.

"They will help you stay and stay asleep," reads the company's website, accusicsleep.

Not only do they allow to play music, but also audiobooks, meditation guides and other aid to reconcile sleep.

They have a wireless version and another with cables.

3.Smart caps

If you prefer a simpler option and do not need sleeping music, you can opt for chatter smart caps, which cancel low frequency sounds.

They do not have a connection to Bluetooth or are compatible to listen to music, but neither do they require cables or wear buttons.

They are automatically activated when removing them from the case and a single load lasts up to 50 hours.

They are already available in Indiegogo and cost about US $ 200.

4.Intelligent patches

Finally, you can use a solution that does not require devices for the ear: smart patches.

An example is the Silent Partner, designed by a San Francisco team, USA.UU., that are placed on the nasal septum of who emits the snoring.

They have inverted "V" letter and two ends that are fixed to the sides of the nose.

"It is flexible and adaptable to faces and noses of all shapes and sizes," explain its creators.

The device works by creating a kind of "silence bubble" around the person who carries it since it detects the sound waves. Its cost: about US $ 100.

If you do not convince you any of these technological solutions, you can always turn to something more natural.

For example, NASA says that pineapple plants are effective in avoiding snoring because "they produce more oxygen and improve air quality".

Neither does it work?Try to change the pillow, use an oral protector or sleep sideways.
