Clara Brugada announces a restructuring of the public pantheons after the theft of the body of a baby that was found in the Puebla prison…

The mayoress of Iztapalapa Clara Brugada announced a plan to prevent further looting of tombs such as that of Tadeo, whose body was found inside the Puebla prison. In this sense, she said that she will restructure and transform security in the cemeteries with a system remote surveillance and a budget of 40 million pesos: from drones with heat and movement sensors to the hiring of personnel specially dedicated to the care of the perimeter fences.

The municipal official pointed out that the renewal has begun with the dismissal of the director of that cemetery, for this reason, she emphasized that the administration of the pantheon was the one who denounced the "disappearance" of the body of Tadeo before the Prosecutor's Office, she also added that the 448 cemetery workers —148 base employees and 300 external employees— are at the disposal of the authority.

“Here we are not going to cover up. On the contrary, we are the first to be interested in knowing what happened and how”, the Mayor said before a group of journalists. "There it was said if there is something behind this fact and not only of this fact but if there is something behind it has to be found and that is the task of the Prosecutor's Office," he said, referring to the possible involvement of organized crime groups in the case.

The extension of the second largest pantheon in the capital is one million 100,000 square meters. On this land, which is also surrounded by a housing unit in the Paraje de San Juan neighborhood in Iztapalapa, the municipality intends to install an innovative remote surveillance system with drones with the ability to detect heat and movement.
