The event ended with three people arrested, two men and one woman, between the ages of 28 and 33, all of South American origin, as alleged perpetrators of various crimes of robbery with force at home and property a criminal group and which becomes the seventh gang of robberies dismantled in Zaragoza. The three, already in pretrial detention, are charged with a total of four assaults on different homes in the Aragonese capital, in addition to having open proceedings in other courts.
The events occurred last Wednesday around 9:00 p.m. on Castelvi street, in the center of the capital, when the inhabitant of the house connected through his phone to the video surveillance cameras of his home and verified that several people were preparing to break into his house. He quickly alerted the National Police who went to the scene. Upon accessing the apartment, they found that the door was open and had a broken bowler hat and that the interior was messy, although there was no trace of the perpetrators of the robbery.
Running escape
However, thanks to the surveillance device, one of the officers from the Aragon Police Headquarters observed that a person was trying to jump into a light well from the first floor, and notified the rest of the patrols, which immediately covered the perimeter of the property. Two of the detainees went out into the street through a place next to the doorway where the events had taken place, fleeing on the run, pursued by several agents who ended up arresting the members of this gang.
During the arrest, the alleged perpetrators showed great resistance and two of the police officers had to be treated at a hospital for different injuries. The third of the members of this criminal group, a 33-year-old woman, broke her leg when she tried to escape by jumping from the first floor into the light well, for which, once arrested, she had to be transferred to a health center to be assisted. The Regional Judicial Police Brigade has taken over the investigation.
All of them have previous crimes against property in cities such as Pamplona, Santander, Oviedo, Madrid and Toledo for which they will have to give a statement. They were taken to the Investigating Court on duty, where they gave a statement. This is the seventh criminal group dedicated to the robbery inside homes dismantled this summer. The Regional Judicial Police Brigade has intensified its devices during July and August and has arrested several members of itinerant groups in the Aragonese capital.
