The Geological and Mining Institute of Spain has released the recording of a drone in the area where the lava flow has gained the sea in La Palma. The video of the flight over the delta, of more than three minutes, shows the tongue of land that has formed as the magma has been reaching the water during the last three days. The effects of the magma are altering the map of the island. The images were recorded on Thursday, when the low island had already grown about 450 meters from the coast and about 600 or 800 meters laterally. The new delta has almost reached 20 hectares of surface. It is also estimated that the depth reached by the lava poured into the sea reaches 24 meters.Video | Flight over the delta created by the Cumbre Vieja volcano on La Palma Video | Flight over the delta created by the Cumbre Vieja volcano on La Palma
